365 days
// November 13th, 2006
Looking for a fun challenge? Are you committed? You’ll need to be if you want to participate in the 365 days challenge. The challenge is deceptively simple: Post 365 different self-portraits. One per day for an entire year.
The question “What does one do with 365 self-portraits?” comes to mind. You could pick the perfect one for a Warhol-esque pop photo. Or you could string them all together and make a 15 second time-lapse movie of your entire year. You could make a flip book. Or… or… then again, maybe it’s more about the journey than the end result. Anyway, looks like fun.
so are you going to do it?
See…I think having “rules” are lame.
365 photos of yourself is a little over doing it.
I’d rather they stick to the 365 days, 365 photos with stories to go with ‘em.
I just started this project. I’m going into Day 6. So far it’s been fun. I think you should try it. I’d like to see what you can do with it.
I’m on day 17 now… :)
It looks like this started about 3 months ago. Has anyone stuck with it for 90 days?
I did this same project in 2001 I think – or maybe it was 2003. The main issue was carrying a camera around all the time. It was a good exercise though and the shot when I was in bed sick all day was interesting.
Here’s the link to the project (it was just a shot a day for a year):

I’ve not done the self portrait version of this, but am on the last month a aphotoperday (http://machaggis.net/bluefacedpixie/index.php/category/photos/a-photo-per-day/, http://www.flickr.com/photos/machaggis/tags/aphotoperday/) for 2006.
