I know why you hate cutting mats.  It's because you use a freehand cutter.  Stop doing that right now.  It takes forever, it's really frustrating, and unless you get really good, you'll mess up half the time.  Take the $100 you saved last night and go buy yourself a board mounted cutter.  The cheap one is fine, but I recommend a Logan 700-s.  Small, full featured, though a little spendy (not as spendy as that next lens we've all got our eyes on, though).  You'll cut mats like a machine in no time, get great results, and it won't make you crazy.  Actually, it's kinda fun.</description>
