Screencast: Easy exposure blending tutorial with GIMP
// April 7th, 2008
This 2 minute screencast shows an easy-to-use technique for blending multiple exposures (or in this case, two versions of one exposure) to increase the dynamic range of a photograph.
GIMP is free photo editing software for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Good video! Well presented and clearly explained. Hope it encourages more people to use the GIMP.
Many thanks, it provides a good solution for some of my editing needs. But here comes a question.
I tried to use this technique, but something strange happening here: each new stroke replaces the previous instead of adding to it like in your video. Sure i do something wrong but what? Will appreciate any help.
Make sure the gradient is set to go from a color to transparent. If it goes from color to color then it replaces the entire layer each time you draw it.
Thank you, i got it now.
