		<description>Make sure the gradient is set to go from a color to transparent. If it goes from color to color then it replaces the entire layer each time you draw it.</description>

		<description>Many thanks, it provides a good solution for some of my editing needs. But here comes a question. 
I tried to use this technique, but something strange happening here: each new stroke replaces the previous instead of adding to it like in your video. Sure i do something wrong but what? Will appreciate any help.</description>
