i too think that ziplens is great. i find it much much better than rentglass. very similiar prices/offerings, but the little things that ziplens does makes it better. for instance, i received an email a couple days before the return date of my lens reminding me, and telling me exactly the last day the package can be postmarked to avoid fees. the ordering items that aren’t in stock is a big help too. with rentglass it’s more hit or miss, and you need to get lucky in order to get a lens.

i’m not dissing rentglass though. i just think if they added a couple little improvements here and there, it would be great. ziplens seems to have done that.

I can vouch for the awesomeness of this service. I ordered the Nikon 12-24mm f/4G ED-IF AF-S DX and it arrived the next day (they’re in Maine and I’m in Massachusetts, which may explain the quicker than normal turnaround), in excellent and clean condition. As it turns out, I decided to buy one of my own. When I contacted ZipLens and said that I would be returning the lens early, I was notified that I would be receiving a credit for the unused time (my rental period was for three weeks). I can’t say enough good things ZipLens. Great, friendly service, excellent shipping quality, and a terrific resource to try out new gear without plunking down a lot of cash. Highly recommended…
